Dear Vince and Didier

In FT DNA terms, the Livingston/MacLea project's R1b collection shows DYS533
values from 11 to 13.

Our Scots Cluster group (R-L21*) show both 12 and 13.

The MacWho Cluster (R-L21*) shows both 11 and 13, even within one surname,
which perhaps signifies that this is a "fast mover" (or a lab error on kit

"Cluster 26" (R-L21*) shows 12 on one case so far.

It would be handy if one of the R projects would try to tabulate modals for
some of the STR markers beyond the standard 67+9. Is there enough data yet?

One marker I think we identified a while back as significant was DYS717=21
for the Scots cluster versus 19 for the rest of R-L21, but I am not clear on
whether there has been much more work done on that. Potentially there are
all sorts of discoveries to be made, many will just solidify what is known
about already known clusters, but maybe new ones will also appear.

Best Regards
