You are still misinterpreting the situation.

Point 1: Clades are CREATED by demographic processes: people being
born, people dying, and so forth.

Point 2: Clades are properties of the tree, in the sense that trees
are made up of clades. I think you know this, and your vision is being
clouded by some other factor.
