The answer is no... they are four different types of chromosomes. to test
the "Y" chromosome is different from testing the MTDNA and different again
from testing the X chromosome or the autosomals chromosomes.

REmember when the "Y" is tested for genealogy they test STRs not SNPs..
Y-SNPs are tested for population migration.. or to tell the deep clade of the
estimated haplogroup.The Y chromosome does not recombine with another Y
chromosome.. (There are not TWO Y's)

MTDNA is not a part of the 23 pairs of chromosomes, It is tested for
SNPs... but it also has no combination with any other MTDNA.

Only the "X" and the "autosomal" chromosomes can recombine because the
have others they can mix with.

Each has its own test. you are not testing the "Y" or "MTDNA" when you are
testing the X and the autosomals.

FRom what your writting it sounds more like your looking for a family
SNP.not a family segment.. The problem with this idea is that "recombination it
is random".. and may not be the same even with full brothers and sisters.
Just because you do not match in this type of testing does not mean you are
not genetically connected.

The test that family finder uses can help you identify members of Clan
McDonald if the two comparing have no other way they could be related.
