David and Ken,
You should settle this matter like real men, with statistics at 10 paces.
Ken, you have a 1.14516129 factor age seniority giving you the early lead.
However that would need some correction for the exact ages down to the
nearest 10 minutes at least, rather than the nearest year. And of course a
correction for the different time zones you were born in would be necessary,
and the number of times each of you has travelled around the world, and in
which direction.
David, you are R1b, while Ken is only haplogroup I. R1b has a considerable
numerical superiority, giving you the over all lead. (I make this comment
on the basis that I am also R1b, so naturally assess the R1b numerical
superiority as crucially relevant).
Now we get to confidence factors. David has little confidence in variance
of variance, and Ken has little confidence on the importance of R1bs, which
he has in the past scornfully referred to as "600 pound R1b gorillas" if I
call correctly.
This could get complicated. Couldn't the two of you just agree to settle
this on the toss of a coin?
John.

I guess that makes you more "codgerly" than me by 9 years (if my math is
correct - it is not my strong suit). Yes, I think I used the word
"brilliant" at one point - perhaps I got carried away. Now the
jokes.......................
