Not exactly.

No one with substantial knowledge of Ashkenazi Jewish DNA seriously suggests
that it primarily descends from the Khazars. At this time, however, I
continue to consider the Khazar hypothesis the most credible explanation for
the amazing frequency (52% in one study) of A Type R1a1 among Ashkenazi
Levites.
