One thing that was pointed out to me is that if the FF states you are
a fourth cousin with someone and you confirm it (even if you don't
know the connection) and the other person does as well you can see if
you and they have any matches in common. I match with someone and we
went ahead and agreed with the fourth cousin designation, and we went
on to see that we indeed have a match in common.
This helps narrow things down a bit.
