<I think the Hamilton-B and Hamilton-C clusters (see Hamilton project) are
not related until well before the era of surnames.
Similarly, the Frame males associated with each of those Hamilton cluster
are not related until well before surname era.
However, the coincidence of the two surnames in the two clusters suggests
Frames and Hamiltons lived close to each other at some era of the past since
the advent of surnames.>

In relation to the last sentence: Oh yes...same villages and the same parts
of the same villages...and to this day they continue to intermarry. Two of
my 5th great grandfathers were Hamiltons in Lanarkshire in the early 1700s.
Since my Frames are only 1 off the Frame A modal, I've been attempting to
trace back beyond my Hamiltons to try to identify which Hamilton groups
their families might have been associated with, but since their names were
John Hamilton and James Hamilton its proving to be a futile exercise!
Ken, may I quote your above statement verbatim on the Frame Project website
please? It provides a 'safe' ground for me to leave this particular issue
rest. Many thanks for your thoughts.
Kind regards
