Subject: DNA in Space, dust on the moon.
In about two weeks, the 50 year anniversary of the first human
being to orbit the earth occurs. The Russian, Yuri Gagarin, lifted off
on 12-April-1961 in his Vostok space craft, his only space flight.
He beat Alan Shepard in space by three weeks, who flew a sub
orbital flight on the 5th of April, 1961. Alan stayed with the
astronaut program and 10 years later, flew as commander, moon walker
and first moon golfer on Apollo 14.
If I remember right, he shanked his first swing but connected with
his second. Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell also left behind a second
Laser Ranging Reflector for Ken N. to practice on. It’s getting
dusty. http://lunarnetworks.blogspot.com/2010/02/dust-accumulation-on-apollo-laser.html
