It is a huge and unsupported jump in logic that if the Amesbury Archer came from the Alpine regions he was U152+. Probability-wise, it's as likely or more likely that he was U106+ based on modern distributions. But that's not a supportable conclusion either, as probabilities don't preclude him being from a third haplogroup less frequent in that area, including non-R1b ones. Unless he has been SNP tested, it's all complete guesswork what his main haplogroup and SNP family were. / Tom
