Those Irish Type III guys are so predictable----- for now at least!
Now that the Y111 “test” results have returned to normalcy, for
most of us at least, STR DYS716 is once again behaving as it use to.
And what it use to be was a good steady reliable value of 26 repeats
if you were Haplogroup R-L21+ no matter the downstream snp.
A few people are 25 or 27 instead of 26 but they don’t seem to be
as consistent as the Irish T3 (L226+). The Irish T3 people alone seem
to always have a value of 24 at DYS716 and so far I haven’t seen a 24
elsewhere among L21+ people.
Does anyone know of a snp other than L226+ with DYS716 = 24? Right
now, you could predict L226+ with just one STR, amazing.
Regards, Robert
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it’s all about?
