The hardest computer problems to solve are the ones that happen
intermittently. I do believe the problem is with the FTDNA GAP, not
our browsers, because I do not have this kind of problem with any
other web site - and it never happened to me with the old GAP, only
the new one.
With regard to copying a row of data off the web and placing it in
Excel...
Using Firefox (v. 3.6.2), I can Copy a row from an FTDNA data table,
then right-click in a cell of an Excel (2010) worksheet, choose the
text menu item "Paste Special..." (not the icon), then choose "Paste:
text," and hit OK. The data are entered in a single, horizontal row.
What I don't know how to do is stop Excel from turning the multi-value
cells into dates. Yes, I know how to convert them, afterwards, but
it's a PITA. Anyone?
