These are indeed "very nice", lengthy and detailed discussions with some
also interesting comments. Worth reading!

Once before I was forced to abandon an iconic theory in genetic genealogy,
viz., that yHg R had sat out the LGM in and around southern France/Northern
Spain. Then evidence was found that they were still somewhere in Asia or
thereabouts until the Neolithic! Problem was that everyone had simply taken
for granted what was asserted in what seemed like a seminal paper.

Now it appears I must also abandon the rather simpler OoA and "Around the
Beach" theories and await more reliable evidence. I say "abandon" because
from what I have read in these contributions in Dienekes Blog, those older
theories seem convincingly suspect. I guess people like me will just have
to wait for experts to find more evidence, clarify what they have and let
us know a more plausible theory.....

Ah, such is science - certainty one day, skepticism the next!
