I was told that if the member has V2 results and uploads them, he can get a coupon for a Family Finder test for an additional $70 for a total cost of $159. Not bad, I hope he goes for it.

Thank you for your help.

If they haven't upgraded since original order would be V2. Also that
early, most likely no sample stored by 23andMe. They should be able to
order upgrade from 23andMe for $49 (plus subscription - minimum 12x9 =
$108, or total minimum of $157). However, most recent info on subscriptions
would seem to indicate they would need to continue subscription or purchase
lifetime subscription after this....not 100% sure what they'll have access
to if they upgrade now and cancel at end of subscription....most info
available relates to orders made before their change in TOS, so
upgrader/buyer be ware. If they leave it as V2, they still have access and
new matches with no sub.

Sounds like post 2/10 sale pricing for transfer of V3 is $89, so if they
still offer that plus coupon for FF for $109 would be total of $198.

Member will have to weigh pro/cons and decide best option for them.
