List,

There were some recent messages to the R-P312 Project members concerning
the R1b North-South Cluster, which I believe has DYS437=14, DYS448=18,
H4=10. Upon checking in my collection of Spanish, Portuguese, Hispanic and
Latin American haplotypes, I find the following for those R1b matching that
N/S criteria.

For those R1b haplotypes having values at all three markers (437, 448, H4):
There are 241 of 2,169 (11.1%) matching the N/S criteria (locations
worldwide).
There are 64 of 726 (8.8%) matching the N/S criteria (known locations in
Iberia).

Of the 64 haplotypes found in Iberia, 47% were in Portugal and 53% were in
Spain.
In Portugal, the geographical breakdown is North 43%, Central 37%, South
10%, Unknown 10%.
In Spain, the geographical breakdown is North 50%, Central 6%, East 3%,
South 24%, Unknown 17%
