John, would you be kind enough to demonstrate where and how you believe
this error is present in Klyosov's work? Like several others, I've had
opportunity to review his papers and see his calculations and
conclusions, and when compared with the genealogical information of the
groups he has analyzed for certain projects both his method and result
are compatible and seemingly very sound. Methods and materials are also
quite detailed with-in his published work. Thus your opinion is that
there is error but you have not demonstrated beyond an assessment "
ignored the fact, established by the father-son DATA, that the
fundamental time unit in genetic genealogy is the literal generation,
not the year." after stating that looking at the work is a waste of time.
Perhaps you would review some of the work and then example using your
own calibration and calculation methods where the flaw is. This
demonstration might be considerably helpful and I'm certain that if AAK
yet reviews this list that he would be appreciative in knowing how and
where there is a calibration or calculation error if one exists.
Best regards, Susan
