Subject: [DNA] DYS464X test
Date: Sun, 2 Sep 2012 23:48:22 +0100
Doe anyone have any experience of interpreting DYS464X results? I have two
men in my project whose alleles at DYS 464 are:
15 15 18 18
15 15 17 18
The DYS464X now gives us:
15c 15c 18c 18g
15c 15c 17g 18c
Can we deduce anything particular from these results?
Are the two 18cs equivalent or have there been two separate mutations
(18c/17g and 18g/18c)?
Is there likely to be any benefit in ordering further DYS464X tests? We are
investigating a tree where the common ancestor lived over 800 years ago.
