Pardon my copying all of the above intact, but it is necessary to show the
ancestry of the post in question. Just as with family trees, every once
in a while you get a black sheep in the fold. But in this case it was not
Barney. If you look at the generation marks : > > > you will see that the

bastard, of a previous confabulation. This wayward child was quoting a
post by Barney and using it to make fun of his name. This may pass for
sophisticated wit in Unki's usual haunts, but is not likely to amuse here.

The writer known as "unki" is a frequent poster in soc.culture.irish, but
I've added his name to my kill file so as to weed out any Usenet postings
from his address.

Anyone who has been on soc.genealogy.ireland, or soc.genealogy.uk+ireland
for a while will agree that Barney would never post something offensive to
the community.
