I'm desparate and turn to you all in hopes that you might suggesthow I
might track these relatives. Here's what I do know:
1. Grandfather JOSEPH LAURENCE FLYNN born to MICHAEL FLYNN and MARY
SHANAHAN in Chicago in 1887. Birth record
2. Family lore says that Michael died in an industrial accident in a
local steel mill abt 1893-4
3. Children, Joseph and 2 sisters margaret and Mary are placed in an
orphanage in St. Louis, MO. I have a copy of the letter the mother
wrote requesting they be admitted. Very sad.
I have no other info. Hoping to place MICHAEL and MARY back in Ireland
somehow. Family lore says they were first generation immigrants.

Any ideas?
