I know this is a bit off the genealogy subject, but I have seen a little on
the subject on this list.
My husband, son and a friend of my son will be traveling to Ireland,
Scotland, England and Wales for a few weeks in Sept. I am curious about
the use of credit cards and money cards. They will start out with a few
travelers check and have some money to spend in Ireland upon their arrival.
Is the best place to to exhange for your currency in the small outlining
communities. Sould they get an American Express card before they leave for
your country.
I hope to one day make the trip but as it stands it will be a trip on a
boat, because my fear of planes is too overwhelming.
For now, I must rely on their photos and stories.
Also for myself I would like to know where they could purchase items such
as microfiche or cd's for my family research of Irish, English, Scotland
and Wales.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
