If you are looking for a professional researcher to help you, then the
correct place to look is in the soc.genealogy.marketplace newsgroup. As
an aid to find people who cover the United Kingdom and Ireland, I post a
monthly list of researchers to soc.genealogy.marketplace.

The document lists only the professional researchers who have requested
to be included. The intention is that the list should be posted to the
soc.genealogy.marketplace newsgroup on a monthy basis. This is to ensure
that adverts are not posted to the soc.genealogy.britain newsgroup or
the soc.genealogy.ireland newsgroup or their associated mailing lists.
A pointer message will be posted every week to remind readers where to look.

The list has been split into two parts. Part one covers England,
Scotland & Wales. Part two covers the rest of the world. The individual
parts are posted on consectutive nights.

No endorsement of any kind is given or implied in any way. It is up to
the reader to ensure themselves that the researcher they will to use is
reputable.

If you want the lastest versions of these lists, you can either wait until
it is posted again, or look for it on the WWW at the URL:
