The Irish Parliament (Legislature) consists of two Houses, Dil ireann and
Seanad ireann.
Members of Dil ireann are elected by citizens aged 18 years and over. A
Member's official Irish title is "Teachta Dla" which in English means
"Deputy to the Dil"; Members are generally called "TDs" or "Deputies".
Best wishes
