Lets get back to basics--
The Church of Latter Days Saints hold family genealogy as one of the key
stones of the faith. As such they allocate a large, no a very large amount
of energy ( read as $$$$$$$$$$$$) to this effort. No other religion that I
am aware of has this as such a point in their faith and as such make no
allowances for providing such information on a worldwide scale to so many
who are not members of the faith, pay so little to support it and demean
those that would charge for research time and facilities.
I use the Family History Center in my community, I use the efforts of many
others on the world wide web---shucks I even have been known to go to a
library and use those sources for the mere pittance of my taxes. Shame that
I can get the "church and state separatist" to allow my taxes to support
churches so that I might get my genealogy research at a cut rate......
I am now prepared to "burn" at the news group stake for my heretic views
(just keep it clean and don't get to personal).
