If you have a NLI readers card then you can get into TCD library on Saturday mornings.
TCD genealogy holdings are either
1. Student records, but these up until 18 something have already been published under the name 'Alumni Dublinenses'.
2. Rentals, etc, of their extensive landholdings.
3. Manuscripts, mainly of Anglo-Irish genealogical information.

I am still planning my trip to Ireland, and would like information as to
the location of the NLI and Trinity College, are they close enough
together to walk to ( one to the other).
And tho most of my researching will be done at the NLI what could I
expect to find at
Trinity College, if anything? Any other suggestions?
They are very close - you can see Trinity from the street in front of the NLI. However, that they are close may not be at all useful to you. The facilities of Trinity College Library are AFAIK not available to the general public.
