Hi All

There is a new website that calls itself www.genealogydepartment.com
and it is offering databases for a fee just like Ancestry does. It is
operated by someone named "Breeze" and he has a Paypal account. It offers a
"free" 4 day subscription that costs $15.00. You do have to pay 15.00 by
credit card or e-mail to subscribe for the 4 day "free" membership. Some
people on another list received notices. I did not.
How can we find out if this is a scam ? I guess I could give them my credit
card number to see if the databases are there. But if this is a scam, then
they would have my credit card number. Any ideas how to find out if this is a
scam ?
