Heh heh!

Low tech has its advantages. Here on Buffalo Freenet, we still use the
ancient (in internet years) text-only PINE newsreader. Attachments simply
cannot be opened; they must be saved to a disk. So I just delete every
unsolicited attachment. And for my non-genealogy email account, I use
Yahoo, which has Norton antivirus scanner built in. In my nine years
online, I have never once gotten a virus, nor have I passed on a bogus
virus warning.

I am in no way affiliated with Yahoo, but their omnipresent advertising is
a small price to pay for an email service with such superior protection
and functionality.
