Write the New York city library a letter to see if they would look up
and send you a copy. (May be shot in dark.) Write one on the university
libraries in the state of New York and ask their referance department to
look up and send you a copy. Or write the NY state archives to see if
they have newspapers for New York city for date of death (probably the
day after date of death) to see if the archives has a copy that could be
loaned thru an approved interlibrary loan. Then you could have your
local library borrow appropriate roll of microfilm of newpaper and then
you can personally look up the obituary. Now, if you live in NY in a
larger town with a state university possibly that state university
library would have NYC newspapers on microfilm.
