Greetings All,
My father died about 4 years ago, and had assets. His SS death benefit
was paid directly to my mother. The same is true of my husband's father,
benefit paid to his mother. We live in WI, but I believe that it works
this way over the entire nation. The benficiary is the wife, and it is
not necessary for the deceased to be without assets.
