This thread raises a slightly different question that I have had for a
while.

In 1911 my great grandfather made $945.71 (I found his salary in a
historical book about glassblowers of the time). I would like to convert
this to 1990 or 1997 (or somewhere in between) American dollars.

Now, here's the rub. He was in Ontario at the time... and that's $945.71
Canadian.

Any thoughts?
