Here's my guess: W.A.J. is definitely NOT a brother of Elizabeth
Brock...because Brock was her married name. The "dower interest" would be a
"life estate" which would pass to the remainderman on Elizabeth's death.
The remainderman, W.A.J.Brock, is apparently an heir of the deceased James
Brock, Elizabeth's first husband. It could be a son, a daughter, a brother
or sister, etc. You might want to try a title search on the land to see what
happened to it after W.A.J. Brock took title. Perhaps the next document will
show a husband/wife relationship.
