Tamarew, no ... Tamesin (Tamasin, Tamson, etc.), yes; the name begins
appearing in New England in the late 18th century, probably borrowed
from some popular literary work of the day, and runs through the
mid-19th century. Assuming the birth certificate is handwritten, could
the letters "sin" have been misread as "rew"? It would be easy to
misread an "n" for a "w," for instance, if the handwriting is poor.
