Subject: obtaining death/birth certs.

Hi! How does one obtain a birth or death cert. of a relative when they
don't know the birth or death date -- only an approximation (i.e., that's
the purpose of trying to obtain these certs.) The county offices I am trying
to search will only release this information if you are a descendant (which
I am) that has the dates of either/or death or birth. I do have a marriage
date. Will this help?
