Here! Here! It's interesting (kind word) how people seem to feel
"entitled" to free information on the Internet. (It's not just the
Internet, but the cyber highway does seem to bring out the worst in
some people. I know of no other venue where something akin to
"flaming" takes place.)

Most serious genealogists do seem to be appreciative and willing to
share. I'll bet most of the folks you're describing are rank
amateurs, looking for a quick family history without any effort.

Conversely, it can be extremely frustrating to visit a site where
the developer clearly "threw it together," taking no time to be
accurate and thereby wasting the time of the visitor. (I'm sure
that's not the case with your site, Darrell -- it's just the other
side of the coin.)

Maintain your site because it brings you pleasure. Ignore the jerks.
If someone is determined to be stupid, no force on earth can stop
them.
