I know that there are ways to approximate a date of a postcard based
on the way the back is arranged. Unfortunately, I don't have a
citation to such a source handy, but that would be one good
approach. You may wish to contact the Curt Teich Archives, the
major postcard repository in the country. There staff is very
helpful and they may be able to supply you with information on
dating based on the verso.
