Interesting. Still, a very small percentage of, what?, 63 million.
I haven't looked at any of these, but would surmise that these would
be in there for one of the following reasons:
1. Error (for example, 1869 instead of 1896).
2. Railroad retirement. This program existed before SS and the
names of those who retired under the RR Retirement program are often
in the SSDI.
3. Husband/wife of a covered person.
There may be other reasons I can't think of.
