While you're feeling guilty...<g>

I was recently introduced [by my local librarian] to 'The Book
Review Digest'. For those who haven't seen this work -- it is a
[USA only?] volume that gives a brief synopsis of all book reviews
done in the past year. Accompanying each review is the citation for
where the complete review is located. [highly recommended to read
the original IMO]

I didn't have long to really play with it, but it looks like a great
resource *if you know the year the book was published.*

I was looking in the beginning of the volumes I perused for some
clue to how you could locate a 'Digest' review that didn't occur in
the year the work was published. I couldn't find an answer -- do
you happen to know if it's possible?

For instance- I'm looking for a review of a book published in 1876.
I'd be willing to bet that someone has come across this volume
already & reviewed it. [Wm Brotherhead's "Centennial Book of the
Signers"].

Along the same lines as my question on the "Book Review Digest", is
anyone aware of a single volume or series that covers all the books
The American History Association reviews?

Jim
