For what it is worth, there is an excellent website on the net by a
Professor Brian Schwimmer at the University of Manitoba in Canada at
Kinship Tutorial, Main Menu
which in tutorial format covers a lot of ground with respect to
consanguinity. It is worth some study if you are interested in this
area. I never knew that having a family connection could be so rich
in nomenclature or that it was a field of study in anthropology.
Silly me. Professor Whitaker this is probably far beneath you, but
perhaps others may have an interest in taking a look.
