I cannot let this slide by. An "Indentured Servant" is NOT a slave.
It is (or was) a contract for which a person would learn a trade and
be given room and board for a set period of time -- usually two to
four years. After completion of the contract, the person is
released from his or her bonds.

Granted, some of these poor souls were treated as slaves, but the
vast majority were treated well.
