Not to be argumentative or anything, Cyndi, but a URL is both a
documented fact and public information. I'm not sure they CAN be
copyrighted by anyone.

[ Hi Cheryl! The really interesting question isn't whether a raw
URL can be copyrighted, but whether anchor and descriptive text
written by an author can be copyrighted and whether an organized
collection of links qualifies for copyright as a compilation ...
