Hi again Charles,

Jorden GEORGE (1764) was son of Jonadab GEORGE who was a son of Richard
GEORGE (1709-1773) and Ann (or Elizabeth) MAYO. Richard was a son of Robert
GEORGE and Sarah ___. Jonadab GEORGE died 1815 in Halifax Co, VA. He left a
Will naming his children, including Jorden GEORGE.

This Jordan GEORGE (1764) moved to Russell Co, KY after 1820. He is
occasionally confused with my ancestor James Jordan GEORGE (1761-1824), son
of James GEORGE and Elizabeth NODEN. These GEORGE's lived in Pittsylvania Co,
VA and were closely related to those in Halifax Co, VA. My James Jordan
GEORGE left VA in 1789 and moved to Sullivan Co, TN where he died in 1824.
James Jordan GEORGE was named in honor of his paternal grandmother Mary
JORDAN George, wife of John GEORGE (1704-1784). I'm not sure who Jorden
GEORGE (1764) was named for. I don't see any JORDAN's in his ancestry, though
there are several branches of his tree I'm not familiar with.

Jorden GEORGE (1764) married Rosamond MADDOX 16 Feb 1786 in Halifax Co, VA.,
Known children were: Robert, Dolly and James. Probably others.
