Well, I took 10 minutes and read 'How to Write a Successful Query' last
night. Let me try it again. This time I will only query from each surname
list information that is pertinent to that surname. Thanks for your
patience and responses.
These are my grandparents: Wilbur Fiske BALL b. 1894 unknown d. 1958
Haverhill, MA buried in Newton, NH m. Beatrice Emma GEORGE b. 1895 believe
she was born in Merrimac, MA d. 1989 Haverhill, MA buried in Newton, NH. I
believe that they resided in Haverhill, MA. Wilbur had 2 children from a
previous marriage Russell and Winifred BALL LANCASTER. They had 3
children: Raymond Ellsworth, Phyllis, and Wilbur Fiske (my father).
Beatrice was the daughter of:
Elmer E. GEORGE & Alma (BARTLETT) GEORGE
Both Elmer and Alma died around 1897 in/around Amesbury, Essex, MA or
Newton, Rockingham, NH.My grandmother was raised by her aunt, I believe it
was Anna GEORGE BATTLES in Haverhill, Essex, MA and Newton, NH when her
parents died in the 1897 epidemic. My father believes that Alma was related
to the PRESCOTTs of Newton, Rockingham, NH. He also remembers that Ezra
(Elmer's father) was a state representative in NH. I have not found any
GEORGEs that were NH politicians, but I did find an Ezra BARTLETT that was.
My father has a picture of Alma, Elmer, Anna and Ezra. Since there isn't a
last name on the picture and only a first name I am inclined to believe
that Ezra was Alma's relative and not Elmer's. Perhaps both of their
father's were named Elmer. I did find an Ezra GEORGE but he was born in
1763 and could not be the father.
I hope that was a little better and lots more informative. So, what I
would like to know is if anyone knows who the parents of Elmer GEORGE
and/or Alma BARTLETT were?
Thanks, Cherryl BALL
