I am looking for the ancestry of John George who died in Union Co., SC in Sept 1991.
He married Mary Jasper c1764 and had children Mary(my ancestor), John and Thomas. I have
bought the Land Grant maps from the Union Co. Historical Society. John George had
several land grants from 1783-1795. Nearby are Alexander George with a grant 1791 and
Andrew George 1788. I feel that Alexander and Andrew could be related to my John George.
Alexander George is listed in the 1790 Laurens census and a John George is listed in the
1790 Laurens and Union Census. Andrew is listed in neither. Does anyone know anything
about this George family of Union and Laurens Co? Any information would be appreciated.
