Betsey George was born 11 Feb 1794 in Warner, Merrimack, New Hampshire; she
died 29 Apr 1865 in Topsham, Orange, Vermont. Betsey George married Thomas
Eastman 12 Jan 1823 in Topsham, Orange, Vermont. Thomas Eastman, a farmer, was
born abt 1795, the son of David Eastman; he was living in Topsham, Orange,
Vermont in 1850.

I have no data on the descendants of Thomas Eastman and Betsey George, but I
have a great deal of information on the family and ancestry of Betsey's
father. John Swaddock George was born 4 Mar 1747/48 in Haverhill, Essex,
Massachusetts; he died 4 Feb 1822 in Topsham, Orange, Vermont. John Swaddock George
married Sarah Harriman 10 Nov 1774 in Hopkinton, Merrimack, New Hampshire. Sarah
Harriman was born 5 Dec 1755 in Haverhill, Essex, Massachusetts, the daughter
of Stephen Harriman Jr. (a sea captain) and Sarah Macraft. She died 19 Jun
1820 in Topsham, Orange, Vermont.

John Swaddock George and Sarah Harriman had 17 children (no, that's not a
typo!), of which Betsey George was the 14th. If you are descended from John
Swaddock George, then we are cousins -- his grandfather (also named John Swaddock)
was the older brother of my 5th great grandfather, Gideon George.

John Swaddock George and his progenitors.
