Charlene,
By chance did you order the kit through the FTDNA George surname project?
http://home.usaa.net/~dracalpha/GEORGE/George-Reconstruction.html

My GEORGE line daughtered out with my great-grandmother. I've been trying to find a male descendant from her line to test, but it's been difficult (well, impossible so far). We have the GEORGE family traced back only to Jessie George, born about 1828 in NC or possibly GA, and lived in Tennessee. He had at least 3 sons, but so far it appears only one of them had sons. And although that son himself had three sons, it appears only one of those sons had a son. And guess what? He only had one son! And that's as far as I've gotten in finding someone to test!!!! If that one man isn't alive, and/or doesn't have any living male descendants, I've hit a "DNA Brick Wall"!

Aaron,I put in a request for a DNA kit for my George line. Thanks for the info. We already do it for my husbands line and have had great results but with a different company. We had to pay quite a bit for his. This is wonderful and everyone should do this. Thanks,Charlene Wall
