Seems like a good time for a roll call on the George list!
My GGG Grandmother was Cynthia Sarah GEORGE. She was married to Allen RED in
Nacogdoches County Texas in 1844. The 1850 census indicates she was born in
SC. Have been unable to carry this line any further back and am a stuck as to
how to go about finding her in SC since census records before 1850 only list
the names of the head of household. The REDs came from SC also and I
originally thought a George family living nearby (in what is now Angelina County
Texas) was some of her family but another researcher on that family assures me
that is not the case.
Are there any other GEORGE researchers out there with GEORGE ancestors from
East Texas?
