Hi Jim! Thanks for all the GREAT info!!! I'm also a Tackett descendent! You
have a really great Tackett Family Association website! I descend from
William Tackett (Wayne County Ky to Gasconade County, MO, through his son
John). I'm glad to see you on the list. I have already seen a person who is
descended from the my Blair relatives on the list.

I am VERY interested in the John who is listed as the father of Robert
George (correct?) and if I have it right John was born in South Carolina,
his father in South Carolina, and his mother in Ireland, right? This is
really exciting info!. I didn't have this before. I have been trying to
collect the Georges through the census years, but I didn't have time on a
recent visit to the library to go completely through the Floyd County 1880
census. I realy appreciate the info!! Thanks for the George neighbors, also.
That's always of interest to me to try and establish relationships. And,
thanks for the husband of Priscilla, I will add Robert to my file. Talk to

Some ideas about your Mary GEORGE

she was listed as being 27 years old in 1850 so she was probably 22 when
she married in 1845 so there may not be any consent papers. In the
consent book by skeens there is no consent listed. But!! that does not
mean that there isn't one. May need to send for the original marriage
record to be sure.

Where she is listed on the 1850 census puts her close to John GEORGE
more than Robert Moody GEORGE. These are the main GEORGEs in Floyd
County, although Alexander GY GEORGE has a lot of kids floating around
also.

Looking at ages may also place Mary with John instead of Robert Moody.

Mary is listed as 27 in 1850. John Married Elizabeth BROWN in 1822 So
Mary could have been the first child.

Robert Moody GEORGE also married in 1822 to Martha/Patsy PORTER. But in
the 1850 Census they have their daughter Mahala age 26 back living with
