I have a little on this family:
William George, died ca 1770 Charlotte Co., VA, leaving widow Jane
(---). She later remarried a Mr. Mustain or Musteen.
Children:
1. William Francis George (records found in Henry, Pittsylvania and
Greenbrier Co., VA)
2. David George (records found in Charlotte, and Pittsylvania Co., VA
and SC)
3. Lucy George
4. Richard Dudley George (records found in Pittsylvania and Greenbrier
Co., VA)
Proof of this family structure is in Pittsylvania Co., VA Deed Book 3
page 364 when David George deeded property to William and Richard, sons
of William George deceased, and Jane George now Jane Musteen. 1 Nov
1773. There is another record in Charlotte County I think, either a Will
or estate dated 1770. I don't recall which, but that record also
mentions daughter Lucy (who wasn't mentioned in the 1773 deed).
David George was a merchant and as such he sued some of my Georges in
Pittsylvania County for debts. I've found no relationship between this
family and my own except for the court cases. Mine in Pittsylvania are
descendants of Col. John George of Isle of Wight Co., VA.
