These files consist of more than 5,000 pages and contain a wealth of
genealogical information, affidavits from neighbors and relatives, and accounts
and skirmishes, life as soldiers, protracted illnesses, escaping East Tennessee
to join the
Union ranks, and the hostilities endured at home in a region divided in
Because of the extreme size of these PDF files, I have also posted single-page
for those of you with slower-speed internet connections.
I regret to say that I do not have access to any other Civil War Pension files
ones posted here.
In particular the pension files for James Haney, James H. Haney, Samuel C.

More than half of these soldiers resided in the 1st and 22nd Civil Districts of
County, south of the Nolichuckey River in the southern and southeastern
Surnames of soldiers:
Bible, Bowman, Broyles, Burgin, Burgner, Click, Fillers, George, Good, Gray,
Hartman, Jennings, Moncier, Presnell, Price, Seaton, Sentell, Simmons, Waddle,
Lots of good genealogical data here.
