The following is an announcement with the permission of the list owner.

Announcing the publication of my new book concerning Confederate
Soldiers of Franklin Co., Georgia, entitled, "THESE MEN WORE GREY."

The book is a compilation of all known Confederate soldiers buried in
Franklin Co. The book is arranged in alphabetical order by cemetery,
with an index for easy reference. Included with each listing of
Confederate soldier is a genealogical profile of the soldier and his
wife, his parents, children, and siblings. Marriage and census records
included. Also included Is the Soldiers complete MILITARY RECORDS,
including PENSION information and if the widow drew a pension. All
information is referenced individually by source. Also included is the
Complete alphabetical listing of the 1863 and 1864 SALT Records, the
complete alphabetical listing of the Militia erollments by DISTRICT. An
INDEX is included of an original LEDGER of the Confederate Soldier of
Franklin Co. found in the Courthouse in Carnesville, Ga. This ledger
was compiled by the Veterans in the 1890's. Other miscellaneous records
of the county are included.

The book is a culmination of 7 years research and is the FIRST VOLUME of
a series of books to come in the future of 12 N.E. Ga. Counties. The
book is 238 pages in length and the cost is $30.00 including shipping
