Subject: [GA] Joseph Post Griggs brn. Morgan Co. 1822

Need to locate parents of my Joseph Post Griggs who was born in Morgan Co. 18
Nov 1822. He md. 1844 Martha Bussey brn. 7 Dec 1822 in Putnam County, GA,
dau. of Charles Bussey and Almeda Leverett. Both families migrated to
Mississippi and then to Texas around 1845.
Wondering if J.P's mother could have been a Post since they gave him that as
a middle name.
Joseph Post and Martha Griggs named their children: Wm. Leonidas, Charles
J., Victoria Almeda, Mary Antonette and Fannie Malinda. Charles probably
named for Martha's father, so perhaps I'm looking for a Wm. Griggs as J.P.'s
father. There are several Wm'.s in GA at this time, but none in Morgan Co.!!
