Caroline,,,, I believe the census you are referring to was done by Emma
Schwabenland Haynes for her Doctorate thesis at University of Northern
COlorado. It is a very detailed census of GRs living in the North and
South Bottoms areas of Lincoln, NE and working the beet fields of Nebraska
and Colorado. I have excerpts from it that were copied by a friend at the
Nebraska State Historical Society and am pretty sure that AHSGR has it in
their library. Yes, there was a large population of GRs living in
\Llincoln, primarily from Frank, Lincoln amd Messer.
